Pink and Purple Bucket

The meaning of the title: Whenever Abbie (my niece), hates something, she calls it a "pink and purple bucket". Or, if she really hates it, she calls it a "sara".

O.o

I loves my niece and nephew.

My grandmother gave me my great grandmother's engagement ring and wedding band today. It's 60 years old, and it is from Tiffany's, which is where most of her jewelry was from, meaning that it's expensive now...and I feel really bad about wearing it. I dunno, just something about having a ring that meaningful in my possession...I guess I better be careful with it.

Work is going good. It's been getting progressively busier, and that's also good, since busy means something to do.

More good news; "former co-worker" hasn't been posting here anymore, as you all can see. Why, you ask?

Guess "former co-worker" wasn't so brave once they got found out.

Ah well. Fun only lasts so long before the mentally incapable must flee.

Nighty-night.

Expensive sentimental rings are... nerve-wracking. My grandmother told me that she's going to leave her engagement ring to me, too. Not the wedding bands though, both grandma and papa had to have them cut off years ago. Grandma sold them to some guy who was looking for old jewelry. Of course, you could hardly tell they were even wedding bands to begin with, they were so twisted and broken.

You'll get used to wearing them, it becomes second nature. But it's nerve-wracking at first.

It's really pretty and shiny and stuff...but...wow is it old...

*Le Sigh*

You're definitely right about the nerve-wracking thing...I feel like if I lose them, I will immediately be killed as slowly and painfully as possible...

Well I doubt you'll be killed slowly and painfully. But people probably wouldn't be too happy.

Try not to sweat it though. As long as it fits your finger snugly enough, it'll be fine. I remember when I first got my engagement ring, it was the first ring I wore that cost more than a gumball. I was petrified for about two months. But you get used to it
